Diffraction Patterns

Artist Vicky Ola creates a floor design around Prof. Ben Whitaker’s sound sculpture mapping wave diffraction patterns, based on the relative volume in the room.  Exploration of pattern in science and nature is a key part of Vicky’s work.  Her efforts also helped convince the scientists that they were really observing sonic diffraction patterns.
